Helpful Tip:
Let the shaped loaf proof until almost doubled in size, or it will tear or crack in the oven and ruin your beautiful crust.
Ingredients:
- 2/3 cup warm water
- 5 tbsp honey
- 2 tsp yeast
- 3 eggs
- 1/3 cup olive oil
- 1 tbsp salt
- 5 cups Einkorn flour
Directions:
1. Mix the water, yeast, and honey in a bread mixer and let sit for a few minutes.
2. Add in the eggs, oil, and salt, then start to mix in the flour.
3. Knead on high for a few minutes once all the flour has been added. Then allow to rise until doubled in size, at least an hour.
4. Shape and then let rise again for another hour, then brush with egg wash. Bake at 300 or 350, depending on how crusty you prefer your bread.
